Remembrance Assembly to mark Armistice Day

Children at Cordwalles took part in a moving Remembrance Assembly this morning to mark Armistice Day.  Pupil Parliament members laid poppy wreaths, made by each class, at the front of the hall as a symbol of remembrance.  Children also listened to the poem, ‘For the Fallen’, by Robert Binyon in 1914.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
