Eco Ambassador's Club and MP Visit

Early in November Cordwalles Junior School proudly initiated Eco Ambassador’s Club.

Including 16 pupils from all year groups, the club has empowered the children to take action on Eco matters, setting their own Eco agenda, and to explore nature (hence, yes, we are often seen in wellies).

The club has so far had a very busy initial half term: planting winter bulbs and some 400 sapling trees, designing and creating a bug hotel, creating Eco Christmas decorations, and last but no means least, writing to local companies for donations and support - to which one has already responded!

In November, Eco Club welcomed local MP, the Rt. Hon. Michael Gove and Mr Trefor Hogg from the Woodlands Trust to showcase their developing woodland area.

Finally, the pupils have all expressed ways in which they would like to enhance their school environment and these plans are set to develop this year, so keep your eyes peeled!
