Chestnut Class

Welcome to Chestnut Class!

Last term the children had a great time learning about the Far East. They also had say goodbye to one teacher and hello to another teacher (Mr Johnston).

During the summer term, we will be looking at the Olympics, particularly how they were affected by World War 2, and how we can apply our topic title, 'Going for Gold!', to our own lives. So far, we have recreated past Olympic logos and buildings from around the world and constructed a timeline around the classroom of the Olympic games.

We have also been learning about the events which take place before and during the 1936 games. We will be then looking at events between the 1936 and 1948 Olympics.

Just a reminder that homework is sent home on a Wednesday and must be completed and handed in the following Monday, and that children should have their PE kits available to use in school all week.

We are looking forward to all the learning we will be doing in our last term together.
