GLF Schools

GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Governing Body / School Standards Board

Our School Standards Board (SSB) meets once per half term.  Our SSB provides the local governance function for our schools which fits within the overall governance structure of GLF Schools.  From January 2018, we have a joint SSB with Pine Ridge & Lorraine Infant Schools to further strengthen our collaborative working.

The three core functions of governance are:

  1. Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction.
  2. Holding leaders to account for the educational performance of the organisation and its pupils, and the performance management, including well-being, of staff.
  3. Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.

It is therefore important that our SSB comprises the right people with the right skills to make appropriate and informed decisions for a school, taking into account the views of children and students, staff, parents and the local community.

The members of our School Standards Board are:

Mrs Frances Radley (Chair)

Mrs Claire-Louise West

Mrs Sarah Nottrodt

Mrs Karen Ney

Mr Tim Rogers (GLF)

Mrs Jan Eaton

Mrs Joan Madsen

Mr Sashi Mylvaganam

Mr Andrew Reeve

Mr Chris Richardson
